In 2023 and 2024 Community Roots led a Co-Production project funded by Health Education England and commissioned by Christine Hutchinson North West MPAC Strategic Development Lead. The goal was to create a suite of informative sessions that would help people to understand and navigate The Mental Health Act when accessing mental health services, gaining an understanding of the professional roles employed in these services and the legislation that guides them.
As a result of this project, the sessions created were;
- Understanding The Mental Health Act
- Approved Mental Health Professionals
- Approved Clinicians & Responsible clinical roles
- Mental Health Advocates
- Living As A Carer
You can find out more about these sessions and book your place by clicking on the Members Area
A suite of 13 videos accompany our 5 PowerPoint slide decks used for the sessions. We’ve included three below to give you a taster and will provide you with some insight into the content of the sessions which have been overseen by multiple Approved Clinicians from the region;
The resources are freely available to all Recovery Colleges in England and Wales for use.
